2025 — Solid European oak, brass hardware
Oak and Brass Kitchen — Brno Centre
Scope: Full kitchen renovation — design, cabinetry, installation
A complete kitchen renovation for a townhouse in central Brno. The brief called for a warm, timeless aesthetic with maximum storage. Custom shaker-style doors in solid oak, integrated appliance panels, a custom oak breakfast bar, and full-height pantry units with brass hardware. 14 weeks from first consultation to installation.
2024 — American black walnut, solid and veneered
American Black Walnut Wardrobe
Scope: Built-in bedroom wardrobe — full wall, 4.2 metres
A floor-to-ceiling wardrobe spanning the full 4.2-metre width of the master bedroom. Includes hanging sections, pull-out drawers, shoe storage, and a dedicated laundry compartment with ventilated doors. Interior in natural maple for contrast and visibility. Integrated LED strip lighting throughout.
2025 — Thermally modified Scots pine
Thermally Modified Pine Pergola
Scope: Freestanding garden pergola with seating, 6×4 metres
A freestanding pergola for a family garden in Brno. Thermally modified pine was chosen for its superior outdoor durability — the heat treatment reduces moisture absorption and prevents rot without chemical preservatives. Includes integrated bench seating and a climbing plant trellis. Finished with natural oil for UV protection.
2024 — European ash, natural live edge, powder-coated steel
Live-Edge Ash Dining Table
Scope: Single bespoke dining table, seats 8
A statement dining table from a single book-matched slab of European ash with the natural live edge retained. The slab was sourced from a managed Czech forest, air-dried for 18 months. Supported on hairpin-style legs in powder-coated black steel, 2.6 metres long. Finished in hardwax oil — durable, food-safe, and easy to maintain.
2024 — Solid beech, oil-wax finish
Bespoke Home Office and Bookcase
Scope: Built-in bookcase and integrated desk unit
A home office and library built around an awkward alcove. Floor-to-ceiling bookcase in solid beech with adjustable shelving, a cantilevered desk, and a pull-out printer tray. The unit was designed so that the desk can be replaced with a TV unit in future — modular by design. Cable management built into the desk surface.
2023 — Bangkirai tropical hardwood
Bangkirai Hardwood Terrace
Scope: Garden terrace decking, 32 square metres
A 32m garden terrace in bangkirai hardwood for a detached house. Bangkirai is naturally resistant to rot, insects and weathering without chemical treatment. Built on adjustable pedestals to allow airflow and ensure a level surface. Finished with UV-protective oil. Custom wooden planters built to match the decking.
